I find that one of the great challenges with study skills is reading text. My mind wanders, I don't retain the info well, and I'm not the fastest reader. I believe that if I could master my reading skills, I would be on top of my game. I have this belief that reading can be systematic. I use the phrase "tearing books apart" to mean that I could whip through a chapter of text knowing exactly what to find and note down.
Any ideas on this theory? I've tried finding books on study guides, but like usual their broad and conceptual rather than spelling out the nitty gritty details.
