Hi, I am 45 years old, with an associates degree in liberal arts from 21 years ago. I have a family that is great and am considering going to school to teach either elementary or high school. I would like to teach math but never took any courses toward the subject although it does interest me. First am I too old? Second am I crazy? When I think about doing this I get excited and feel as though I am doing the right thing! Any comments would be helpful. Thank you all for your time!

Hello J. My thoughts are follow your dreams and don't allow your age to limit you in any way. 45 is not old, especially now that people are generally living healthier and longer. It is a huge plus when you have a supportive family too! "Motivation is when your dreams put on work clothes" - Benjamin Franklin.
