Hello everyone! I would like some direction/guidance in my educational journey. I am in my first year of attending Empire State College (online) majoring in Human Development but am changing to Psychology after this (January) term. I am 40-years-old and have 2 teenagers still living at home with me. I currently do not work but I am looking for a part time job.

After my second year, I am planning on tranferring to University of Buffalo, NY. I am painfully new to college experience and I spend quite a bit of my time searching for answers on my own as my goal is a bit complicated than just earning a degree in Psychology. My mentor/advisor seems distracted and overwhelmed when I meet with her so I do not get the necessary information that I seek, so I rely heavily on the Internet sites such as this one.

I hope to meet other adult students on this board.

Eri
