Aid for Nursing and Healthcare Management
The
National Nursing Education Initiative (NNEI).
The Department of Veteran Affairs National Nursing Education
Initiative (NNEI) offers nursing grants and scholarships
to assist associate degree and registered nurses in
obtaining a Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) or
Master of Science in Nursing (MSN). The NNEI and the
Employee Incentive Scholarship Program (EISP) offer
up to $10,000 in nursing grants and scholarships each
year to RNs enrolled full-time in BSN or MSN programs,
and up to $5,000 in nursing scholarships and grants
each year to part-time students. Eligible RNs must be
enrolled or accepted in a BSN or MSN program (i.e.,
the University of Phoenix Online BSN
or MSN program), and employed for at least two years
at a VAMC. Recipients also must serve a period of full-time
