Virtual UniversitiesState Virtual Universities & Online Consortiums

Online University Consortium.
The consortium assists corporations and adult learners whose education is funded through employee tuition reimbursement programs. Current members include Arizona State University, Field Graduate Institute, George Washington University, Kansas State University, Ohio University, Troy State University, the University of Colorado-Denver, the University of Illinois and Urbana-Champaign, the University of Michigan-Dearbon, the University of Southern California, the University of Texas-Dallas, and the University of Wisconsin-Whitewater.

National Universities Degree Consortium.
The National Universities Degree Consortium offers quality courses and degree completion programs in a variety of distance education formats. Members include Washington State University, Kansas State University, and Colorado State University.

University of Alaska Center for Distance Education and Independent Learning.
Distance and online courses offered to residents of Alaska.

Arkansas Telecommunications Consortium.
The ATC airs telecourses to increase access to higher education.

Arizona State University Distance Learning.
A variety of both undergraduate upper and lower division and graduate courses is available; several meet general studies and degree requirements.

California Virtual University.
Searchable catalog of accredited online courses and degrees offered by California colleges and universities.

Canadian Virtual University.
Canadian Virtual University (CVU) is a consortium of 11 Canadian universities that offer 2,200 courses and 280 degrees, diplomas, and certificates. Accredited, available around the world. o.

Connecticut Distance Learning Consortium.
Association of 27 public and independent collegiate institutions providing distance learning courses and degree programs.

Electronic Campus of the Southern Regional Education Board.
All courses and programs are offered by accredited colleges and universities in the SREB states. Click here for a list of participating colleges and universities.

Florida Distance Learning Consortium.
Distance learning programs provided through Florida colleges and universities.

The Indiana College Network.
Enables distance education students to take courses from any of the participating institutions by searching the database or browsing available degrees and programs.

Iowa State University - Iowa Communications Network.
Online courses and degrees carry the same credit awarded for study on campus.

EduKan is an online coalition of six western community colleges in Kansas. The consortium provides undergraduate general education courses from participating colleges. The Kansas City Regional Access Consortium for Higher Education (KC REACHE), an alliance of nine area colleges and universities, offers distance learning opportunities in the greater Kansas City area. Member colleges offer 29 degree programs (undergraduate and graduate) through televised courses and online.
